The American Legion

The American Legion is the largest veteran's organization in the world, with a membership of more than 2.8 million wartime veterans in the United States, District of Columbia and four foreign countries. Members of The American Legion are honorably discharged men and women who served their country on active duty in the Armed Forces of the United States during World War I, World War II, Korea, Vietnam, Lebanon, Grenada, Panama and Persian Gulf Wars and conflicts. Founded and organized in 1919, The American Legion has touched virtually every facet of American life, fulfilling its main objective of service to the community, state and nation.

The October-November edition of The Nebraska Legionnaire is available on the Department website at www.nebraskalegion.net.

National Commander To Tour Nebraska
National Commander Fang Wong will pay his official visit to Nebraska October 31 -November 3. See the schedule on the Department website for locations of stops and come meet your National Commander. This will be our only opportunity to have him as a guest in Nebraska this year.
